Do baby clothes sell well at car boot sales?

I'm seriously considering doing a car boot sale this summer, mainly to get rid of dd's old clothes and some toys, equipment.
I can't be bothered with all the hassle of ebay (posting and so on) so I thought I'd get it all out of the way at a car boot sale and hopefully make a few pennies.

i didn't have much luck w/them but once.

oh dear! i've got tons of them!!! i might try and sell them 10p per item? would that make people buy them?

you might get more on eBay

mine were 20p and I had millions left! Saw someone once who did 'fill a tesco bag for £1'

that sounds like a good idea actually mustrunmore! I might try this approach. maybe change it slightly to buy 10 items for £1 and see how it goes?

We did really well with baby/toddler clothes, but you have to have loads cause they only go for 10/15p each item, or 20p/50p for nice stuff and 50p for next clothes. But it can be fun, take a pic nic. The golden rule though is sell not buy, its sooooo difficult to keep your word, especially if the kids are with you, and of course you have the £6 entrance fee to make up before making profit.

Good luck and enjoy!

i think the key is low pricing!

Also try to lay the good stuff out neatly, so buyers don't think you only have tat!

Many thanks for your advice and helpful hints. i have spent all morning sorting through stuff in the loft and will put them all in boxes tonight. I hope it won't rain on Sunday! I'll let you know how well (or badly) I did.

dont expect to het mroe than 50p per item, be prepapred for hagglers. vests and socks sell well (10p each give or take),
