i just did - and then i saw her sitting on her potty fast asleep!

DD is 3 1/2 and just mastering night time training, she'd got up, done a wee and fallen asleep she must have been there some time as her bum was welded to the potty! I should have had a camera

Oh so cute.

My ds (2.10) has long been in a big boy bed but his cot is still in his room filled to the brim with cuddly toys. One night popped my head round his door to see an empty bed and absolutely no sign of him on the floor. Walked noisily into the room ready to start shouting for him and suddenly spotted him curled up among the teddy bears in his cot. Just wanted to eat him.

felt moment of panic the first time ds 'moved' in his sleep ... he started off alseep in the middle of his cot, on his back, head at the top, feet at the bottom...an dwhen I checked on him a couple of hours later, he wasn't where i left him...spotted him lying sideways across the foot of the bed on his tummy...I've got use dto it now, but just wasn't expecting him not to be where I left hima s normal!

lol its scary isn't it! i am always making myself panic, always have to check on dd before going to bed. The amount of times i've got myself into bed, and then had to get up again to go check that she is in her bed.

I lost my youngest the other morning, and god did I panic.

he ended up being in the top bunk in the girls room lost amongst all the teddies.....took ages of looking tho, and he slept thro all the noise of us calling him.

little monster....what scare!!!!

We had a babysitter that looked into ds's room and had a massive panic because he wasn't in bed. Checked the garage, the washing machine, everywhere and then his wife went straight into the bedroom and pointed out he was in the cot not the bed.

my lad was around 3 or 4 got up at 3am got kinda dressed in ds1s school uniform. made breakfast of cornflakes ans strawberry syrop in middle of living room floor.

stood on gas box
opened front door
and walked to ds1's school - accross a busy duel carriageway.

got woken by police shining torch in my face
someone found him took him to police station.
to this day i dont know how they found where we lived. - but the frnt door was wide open.

threatened me with social services if it happened again.

and left

Not quite the same but friends have 3 boys, 4, 6 and 8. One morning the dad woke up, looked out the window and saw their car (auto) rolling down the drive.

He ran downstairs, out the door and after the car getting to it just as it rolled towards their gate. In it were the 3 children. The eldest calmly told him that he was taking them all on a trip to Chessington!

psychomum5 · 05/08/2006 01:19

pmsl.....and how were they planning to pay when they got there then?? dod he ask them that??

Ags · 05/08/2006 01:22

Quite rich friends so I bet they had plenty of pocket money on them but quite honestly I don't think they had quite thought the whole thing through! Can you imagine if the dad hadn't woken up though? Nightmare.
