brought back - have to be small, light and easy to post when I get back - but any small requests happily recieved. Know there's a few Zimbabweans/MN'ers with Zim DH's on here.

I am SO jealous. Have a great time and report back on it, won't you?

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 03/08/2006 20:03

thanks - and a bump for anyone that wants anything

(for those that know what I'm on about - DH brought home a bottle of "Sparletta" the other day - someone he licensed gave him a bottle - I'd forgotten how sickly sweet, but really yummy it was )

thanks SS - can't wait to go - we're nearly ready now - just trying to track down a travel clinic within 50 miles of us that can give us an appointment before we leave to get a darned prescription for anti-malarials !

How long before you leave do you have to start taking them?

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 03/08/2006 20:14

SSS - we have to start taking them 2 days before we go to a malarial area - which is actually 3 weeks away - we'll be in Harare most of the time where the risk is really extremely low - so not worth taking them then - just need them for the 4 days we're in Victoria Falls, (well 2 days before we go up there and 7 days after we leave).

bump - good news about our malaria tablets - we've managed to get an appointment at a MASTA clinic in Cambridge (we're in Wellingborough Northants!!) for Tuesday

and still taking small orders for easily carried items (Nik Naks, Sparletta etc etc from fellow Southern Africans )

I'm sure my mum would be v jealous. They lived out there until about 20 years ago when I was around 6. My sister was born in Zambia and would love to go back..Sadly I don't remember much of living out there (Lived Botswana) and if my sis did go back I think so much has changed that it wouldn't be like she remembered...
She always tells me about "strawberry rice crispies...??" I'm sure it was...

Have a lovely trip though..
