#1. Why is it that in my DD's sock drawer there are 7 pink socks, but none of them are the same shade so don't match (and obviously one of them is without a partner completely)? There are no other pink socks anywhere else in the house as far as I can tell

#2. Why is it that I spend 2 days turning the house upside down for her special red dummy with no success and then on the 3rd day I am looking for a specific piece of lego for DS under his bed and there is the frigging red dummy but no vital piece of lego????

Any more?????

the sock thing is universal i think, the sock pixies takes them in the night and replace them with old ones you're sure you threw out ages ago

southeastastra · 02/08/2006 10:59

BettySpaghetti · 02/08/2006 11:02

poopy -the answer to the sock riddle is to throw out those 7 pink socks and then, lo and behold, the 7 matching other halves will appear magically one by one !

HappyDaddy · 02/08/2006 11:45

trinitrhino - simple, as his down is wet and flattened his winkie is on show. once he's dry he's good to go.

where do all the baby pigeons live? Or are they born big?

poopy · 02/08/2006 20:16

Yes, that is a good one charliecat ... a mystery!
#5 Why does it always seem to rain at 8.30am (just when you have to take your child to school - ie take toddle out of car etc) and at 3pm it pees down just as you are waiting in the playground to pick him up?
But it may be dry the rest of the day?
Amazing ....

Why is the word "Dyslexia" so difficult to spell?

Who decided that mixing Cherries in Coke was a good idea? And why weren't they laughed out of town?

poopy · 03/08/2006 01:29

Excellent!
#9 ... why is it that your children are playing happily and don't need you for ages and then as soon as you are either on the phone or on the toilet they call you????
