can any Midlands Mnetters recommend a nice family pub??

we are in north birmingham and would like to go to a nice pub, with beer garden for kids ( not a wacky warehouse type place)

perhaps out in the sticks a bit- 45 mins drive- warwickshire, or staffs???

any recommendations?

is lovely. Its not far from Drayton Manor Park, and is just down the road from Aston Villa Training ground. Its next to the canal, but it has a fenced off play area for the kids. We have been there a few times with our 2 (4yrs and nearly 1yr).....they serve pretty nice food too.
