I'm not sure where exactly you are in the Midlands and this place is more West Country but maybe not too far depending on your location.

I went there for a day and it was lovely!

I went to Springs near Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire a few years ago after finishing my MBA - did a 3 night special as a treat - but I have to say although it was all lovely I did feel a bit lonely as everyone else seemed to be in girlie groups ! Lots of mums and daughters and a few hen parties I think.

It was also quite noisy in the late evening as the groups smuggled wine in and met up in someone's room for a girlie night in - so not as quiet and relaxing as I had hoped for really.

Occassionally wonder about doing it now as recovery time from dd - but as it is pretty expensive I can't face paying out NOT to get the relaxation and sleep I crave !

I've done Ragdale Hall near Leicester. Loads of single ladies there. Also, Eden Hall near Newark is a day only spa. Lots of singles there too. Plus they do ladies only days so you don't have to encounter smelly feet and big beer guts in the sauna.
