Looks mor and more likely we will ahve to relocat back down Soth
Am truly not pleased as up here we have massive 4 bed detached house, ds 12 in top Grammaar School and dd due to start school in one of our very good local small primaries in 2007.
House max £250k due to I am not going back to work until next baby is at least school age and its not due until next March
I need 4 beds, semi ok, and most importantly due to dd's special needs (visual) I need a small primary school. I also need a good secondary school for G+T ds.
Not much to ask is it.
I'm not hopeful tbh...
Anyone?

Why commute from Farnborough is that where your Dh is working ??

Piffle · 28/07/2006 12:50

yep
we used to live in Fleet but I'd rather not go back there, not that we could afford to even!

Alton ??

SherlockLGJ · 28/07/2006 12:51

Camberley

4 beds for £250k might be tricky. We're in Southampton and you'd be hard pushed to find that. Don't know what Alton etc is like though

Piffle · 28/07/2006 12:59

Alton way too expensive, dp used to work there
Camberley, posisbly depends on the schools
Is there anyone who lives somewhere could recommend it?
I like Bishops Waltham not sure about schools though?

Bishops Waltham primary is nice (my friend works there ) but I don't know which secondary schools they would go to from there.
Also might be a bit pricey?

Piffle · 28/07/2006 13:23

I did suspect this would be an uphill battle for a decent house
But with 3 kids, 2 dogs a cat and a dp who needs an office/study space at home we really need that space. Could possibly look at something we could extend I guess.
Back to rightmove for a nosey

Come to Bracknell They are re-doing the town centre, spending £32m on a new college, there are great private, VA and state schools, its actually pretty rural in parts... Warfield is brilliant. I used to live in Windsor and thought Bracknell wasnt nice, but its lot nicer than Windsor. www.rightmove.com... check it out house prices will boom after town centre is done in 2008.

Re-read your post and I cant stress enough how good the schools are round here... (not IN Bracknell, but around). Reading has some top Grammers (Blue Coats, St. Josephs...), Englefield Green has St. Johns Beaumont... theres Eton aswell

Have you considered Aldershot? It's only a few miles from Farnborough and houses are less expensive than surrounding areas, it had a bad name a while back but it's improving and there are some nice areas, I'm not sure about the schools though.

Eastleigh Borough has good schools, (esp Chandlers Ford - might still get a crappy 4 bed or nice 3bed semi with extension potential for £250k there. Hiltingbury infants/jrs is about the best and has special needs unit.) Nr J12 of the M3.
My DH works in Farnborough and we live in Southampton, takes him an hour but the 15-20mins extra is just to get to the M3.
