My moms dog has bitten DS (age 4) will he need a tetnus?

Bloody dog. Its a small yappy thing, she hasnt had it long and today it bit my Ds for no reason.

Will he need a tetnus? He is 4

Dog is going to dogs home tommorrow.

When did he last have a tetnus?
dh got bitten last year and had to have a tetnus. Phone up the docs and find out...to be on the safe side

I don't think there's normally tetanus in a dog bite?

At any rate, if he had the preschool booster he might be ok? I think tetanus shots are good for a year. I'd talk to your GP.

He hasnt had any jabs yet other than the ones you get as a newborn - do they cover tetnus?

Its not too bad, broke the skin and there are blood blisters around it.

He wasnt even touching the dog but was sat next to it and moved his hand....

Am not happy, but have no one to blame tsk
