Never been to one but thinking about it for tomorrow at 5am but can't be a*d if its a mad rush to get thru the door and fight for everything.

And do kids clothes go quickly?

have never been brave enough to try!

JonesTheSteam · 21/07/2006 22:43

Have been to a couple - the first one I was drunk after being out all night so can't remember

the second one - was there about half an hour after the doors opened, so not sure about the mad rush thing, but queued for nearly 3 hours at the till to pay for my stuff.

A bloke in front of me queued for 3 hours to buy one shirt!!!!

NannyL · 21/07/2006 22:44

Personally id rather be in bed at 5am!

WigWamBam · 21/07/2006 22:44

Kid's clothes go really quickly - at least the good stuff does. It looks like the remnants of a jumble sale by 7am. A friend of mine always goes for 5am and they're always queuing to get in for ages beforehand.

Mad fools!

longwaytogo · 21/07/2006 22:46

it usually is mad busy, i went once at that time and queued for hours to pay - never again. My friend goes everytime though but not just to one to every next in the area - about 4 last time she spent £600 mad. Her two boys are always dressed the same and always in next stuff. Boring and sad if you ask me.

lewsmummy · 21/07/2006 22:47

I would too nannyl that's why i'm asking how busy it will be and i've got my answer so thats probably where i will be. Plus i'm at work at 8.50 so 3 hour queue isn't an option.

your obviously a good friend then.

what amazes me is when i am in the store a week or so later you see people coming in with 5 or 6 massive bags - and that just the stuff they are bringing back. a friends says its manic and people just grab everything. saddos!

Loobie · 22/07/2006 12:55

Well i had my vip invite and done my online sale shop on thursday evening! Got some nice bits for the kids, then had to go to asda this morning which incidently is right next to next so had to go in for a little peek, got myself some nice tops, having come down from a size 22 to a 16 since early february i think i deserved it!! and a nice watch.Went upstairs for a nosey at the kids stuff and ended up rushing to help a women whos 7 month old baby was having a massive allergic reaction to tuna ended up in having to call for an ambulance! maybe just as well i popped in!

DumbledoresGirl · 22/07/2006 13:28

5 am! Is it really worth it?

I must admit I only buy Next clothes in sales (I do like their children's stuff though) but only get to the shop probably three weeks into the sale and have a pick over the remnants. If there is a bragain I have it, if there isn't, it is back to the charity shops!

Is it really worth getting up at 5 am to do it?

flutterbee · 22/07/2006 13:35

I would rather pay the full price than waste all that time in queues.

Mind you I can't stand most of Next's stuff anyway.

YellowFeathers · 22/07/2006 13:43

I have never done the 5am thing.
I'd end up clobbering someone over the head with a pair of shoes or something for getting in my way.
