My sister has been in a car accident....

on her way to a weekend break. She was involved in a 4 car pile up. My dad just phoned me, feel sick.

apparently a big lorry stopped, the pregnant lady in front stopped, my sister stopped but the van behind didn;t

i think they are making their way to my parent's caravan. Theya re going to stay there for a few days. Their car is completely written off.

Phew - glad they are OK - pileup always sounds so awful.

(I take it this is the not-misdee sister? She could do without another accident on top of everything else!)

How horrible.

On a practical note, I hope they have some evidence that they had stopped safely before they were run into from behind. They may need to make a claim for personal injury at some point and don't want to be in the position of having to try to prove it.

So glad they are all OK.

If she had child seats in there make sure she claims for replacements from the driver who hit her as they will no longer be safe.

How horrid for them. Glad they are all okay.

They should be okay insurance wise as the people in front will know that they didn't hit their car more than once.

sister said that they were hit twice, one when the van failed to stop, then after she had hit the lady in front, the van then hit her again

sis seems ok, apparently has hurt wriost, tummy and very bruised face where the airbag went off, her dh is a bit sore, but their dd is limping. the force of the van hitting them twisted her car seat twards the door, and trapped her leg slightly.
