I cannot think straight, not even sure it has sunk in yet

Just be there for her. Let her know you love her, want to support her, don't blame her etc. If this goes to a criminal trial it will be a long stressful process and she will need lots of support. If you are finding it really hard to process, get some support for yourself so she doesn't feel she also has to cope with your distress.

It must be an incredibly awful situation for you all. I hope you all get through.

Is she his daughter? Had she told you?

Yes it is his daughter, yes she told me and she vomited most of yesterday and rang the police herself, she had swabs and her clothes were taken in for evidence, I feel for her

She will talk to you when she's ready, all you can do is support her.

Poor poor her and poor poor you. But how very brave she is too.

I think you have to take the lead from her. Listen when she wants to talk. Comfort her when she wants to be looked after and try to keep things normal when she wants to forget things for a while.

And is there someone who can take care of you too?
