I quite agree. Suggest we sue Network Rail for mental anguish as well.

ok had this email now:
We recognise that you have purchased tickets to travel by train on either Friday 21 or Saturday 22 July. Unfortunately the RMT trade union has announced a 24 hour national rail strike from noon on Friday 21 July.

We have been working closely with Network Rail on a contingency plan to deal with the effects of the strike. The revised timetable for this date is available at all Midland Mainline stations and at midlandmainline.com. Alternatively you can call National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50.

As you have a ticket booked for these dates you should travel on the closest service to the train on which you were originally reserved or you can also use tickets dated 21 July for travel the day before or after this strike, 20 or 22 July. Alternatively, if you choose not to travel you will be entitled to a full refund without charge, available from the point at which the ticket was purchased.

If you wish to be kept informed of service alterations on these dates please email [email protected], entering 'strike' as the subject line and we will update you by email should any further information become available.

We apologise for the inconvenience this causes you and would like to assure you that we are working hard to ensure we can run as many services as possible.

inconvenience! like sfx says it breaches my human rights! and will midlandline and all the striking train drivers kindly explain to DD1 why she will not be going to london zoo!
