was looking for the unrestrained child but luckily there wasn't one

no I can beat that. Bombing down the motorway on way to Manchester about 4 weeks ago (DH driving, me watching the cars) and spotted a car with 4 lads between about 2-8, none strapped in, bloke sat behind the wheel with his hands clasped behind his head while one of said children steered the car, overtaking us in the middle lane.

went past so fast I sort of didn't register in time to get the licence plate and report the cretin

I was sort of near the M62 turnoff on the M6 if that means anything (manchester is DHs hometurf, I slip my mind into neutral after birmingham so as to be able to deal with MIL on arrival)
