Very annoyed at our neighbours

At the risk of sounding like Middle Aged Mrs Angry of Suburbia - next door but one to us is a rented house full of young blokes. They are pretty messy when it comes to bins, and quite noisy according to our (lovely) next door neighbours. The other night dh and I were watering the garden and the top floor window was open and the most horrendous 'music' blasting out - basically just the word "Mother**er" repeated over and over. Luckily the kids were in bed.

Anyway, just now the boys were in the garden with dh, and I was running the bath - and when it was time to come in, ds2 threw a wobbly - wailing etc. This same "mothering bloke in the top room bellowed "Shut Up!" out of the window

How very dare he?!

I'm mightily annoyed. Are there any rules about playing music with obscene lyrics - because I think I'll be less than tolerant now if I hear that horrible music again.

Don't know where all those extra stars came from

oooh, yes, I'd be straight round there ringing the bell if there is a repeat of any audible music at all!

We had some noisy teenagers next door for a while - I was similiarly furious when one was using 'language' while sitting on the windowsill, but then another of them 'sssshd' her furiously because my ds was in the garden!

play classical music really loud, when they're sleeping off their hangovers. planks

I'd be angry at someone telling my child to shut up. These days I think I might even go straight round and say so.

contact your local council, if you find the words offnesive and it is using the f word contact police , might be able to do something under the Public Order Act ...causing alarm distress etc , but would have to look it up as memory is a bit fuzzy
