I took ds out for lunch and a bit of shopping as he was driving me nuts when we found a little girl lost in a very crowded sports shop.
This is the kind of shop that you need to be made of elastic to get round, take your eyes off your kids and you'll never see them again, stuff as much as you can in. You know the ones.
Anyway, I ask this little girl(around 5yrs old) who she came with, what they were wearing, what they looked like etc and she was a very bright albeit very scared and upset little girl.
After a good 10 minutes we still haven't found her parents so we go out of the shop to security so they can put a call out for them to come and get her. We go back to the entrance of the shop and her mother comes storming over, grabs her by the arm and yells at her 'Don't ever f*cking walk away from me again' and slap her quite hard before dragging her away. No thank you, backwards glance to me and no reassurance to a very frightened little girl.
Now I can understand that she may be angry, worried etc, that the little girl may have a habit of walking off but did she really have to hit her?
Just needed to unload as it's been bugging me since yeasterday.
