How can I clean the soft baby toys for ds when it says no washing whatsoever on all of them?

Will it be okay to throw them in the washing machine, or handwash them? They all say no washing - why? Wouldn't want to "break" the crinkly bits/rattly bits, but just sponging them down seems a bit unhygienic considering he'll soon chew on them.
Any advice? Sorry this is boring! TIA!

I just chucked all mine in the machine.
Came out fine.
Try a cool setting with delicate spin if concerned?

I hand wash all soft toys when needed then spin in machine before hanging on the line.
Not broken/ruined one yet!

I put them them in the machine and they're all still fine.

I don't normally bother washing them unless they've actually been sicked etc on or are actively smelly, but then I'm lazy and beleive dirt is good for the immune system...

If you do wash, washing machine in a pillowcase, 30 degrees gentle cycle, then hang up by ears (or whatever) to dry. Be prepared for the colours to run / the fluff to get a bit matted etc but generally they should be fine.

I wash them on a cool wash and they've been fine. But BE WARNED any toys of a muscial/noise nature you may find that they don't make a noise anymore. This happened to one of ours. Obviously didn't like getting wet.

do ours on a coolish wash as well. Most have even survived the tumble dryer

I never washed mine unless vomited / weed on

DS will crawl around in the dirt soon enough, a bit of chewed toy won't hurt him

I am with MrsBadger here. I only clean toys that have been thrown up on or smell/look really grey and in those cases, it has reached the point of needing to be washed or needing to be thrown away so the risk of washing is worth it.

I have never had a toy disintegrate on me in the washing machine.
