Am 100% not pregnant.

But feeling very sick in the mornings and some evenings too.

Definatly not pregnant, so what could it be?

Low blood sugar can cause this because you've gone so long overnight without eating.

WorshipAtTheFeetOfCod · 06/07/2006 11:53

Ive been eating Jacobs Cream Crackers as they seem to help.

I have problems with my digestion, too much acid. If I have eaten something I shouldn't I feel sick in the evening, through the night - if I wake up, and in the morning too!!! Bummer, find sleeping propped up helps if I am too bad. Take Gaviscon or something similar and see if it helps.

anemia can cause this too - ask for a blood test if this could be an issue in your case - it often mimicks pregnancy symptoms - sicknees, dizziness, tiredness

BigSister · 06/07/2006 12:17

In this weather you could simply be dehydrated! Have you had enough water?

Dick · 06/07/2006 12:17

Hormones in general can do that, especially if you have had a child.

Or it could be the remainder of a bug you've been carrying, if it's that live yoghurt and all that probiotic malarkey can kill it off.

jampots · 06/07/2006 12:18

Im feeling like this at the moment Worship.... it did scare me for a while but to be honest I think its just a combination of heat/lack of appetite and overdosing on antihistamines

Feistybird · 06/07/2006 12:18

doth she protest too much?

oh-oh

foxinsocks · 06/07/2006 12:20

is it cycle related? I get pregnancy like sickness in the 2 weeks leading up to my period and apparently, it is due to the increased progesterone at that time of month.

Other than that, you could have too much acid in your tummy (try stuff from the chemist for this). If it carries on and eating relieves it, worth going to the GP to rule out ulcers and the like.

WorshipAtTheFeetOfCod · 06/07/2006 12:22

Hvae been getting the dizzness too on standing up. Have drunk loads of water lately and diet hasnt been to bad.

I had a blood test for anemia a month ago which showed it was fine.

Thyroid problem? Get thee to the docs and ask for a check up.

YeahBut · 06/07/2006 12:26

BTW, are you Cod?

Cloudberries · 06/07/2006 12:28

There is a stomach bug going around here -kids throw up, adults just feel queasy

WorshipAtTheFeetOfCod · 06/07/2006 12:28

Am not Cod, am Tamba.

Changed name back now was using it for another thread.

YeahBut · 06/07/2006 12:34

Forgive me if this is overstepping the mark, Tamba - I've been following some of your other threads but not posted (no useful advice) but I do know that you have been under a lot of pressure recently. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the stress of your situation was making you ill. I'd still go to the doc just to get checked out but also start a regime of taking really good care of yourself. Eating lots of fruit and veg, drinking lots of water, perhaps even a vitamin tablet just to give your immune system a boost. Are you managing to eat properly?

Rosefairy · 06/07/2006 12:52

Has your Doc checked your ears? I had something like this a few years ago and it turned out to be a ear infection (didn't have any pain) this can sometimes affect your balance a bit like travel sickness and make you feel queasy.
Either that or you may have a low blood pressure.

mousie · 06/07/2006 14:54

i started a new pill a while ago and felt really sick - so had to change. it's not that is it?

JasonMason · 06/07/2006 18:56

Ive been on a new pill for a month, and it has been great.

I think I must have a bug cause H just cooked the dinner and the smell of food made me throw up. Hope its just a 24 hour thing!

mogwai · 06/07/2006 22:51

this might sound daft, but does it happen after a car journey?

I had this a few years ago and was worried I was pregnant but turned out my wheels needed balancing.

Doh!

sheepgomeep · 06/07/2006 23:00

tamba around the time I split with my ex and up to a couple of months after I felt sick in the mornings and occaisionally at night.

In my case it was stress and shock at what was going on in my life plus I wasn't eating properly.

maybe thats it in your case too?

LittleCarlos · 06/07/2006 23:06

It could be I guess (another name change sorry )

I slept most of the afternoon as have been exhausted. Just tried to have something to eat but the smell of cooking is making me sick

Now, I know it sounds like PG symptoms but I am not!

ilovecaboose · 07/07/2006 19:19

Low blood sugar levels can cause it. Are you eating something every 3 hours? That's what causes mine (I forget to eat/don't eat enough - dumb I know, still a size 20 though)

Simple I know, but it can sometimes be the cause especially if you are really busy all the time.

LittleCarlos · 07/07/2006 19:42

I eat pretty well normally, only today I havent eaten much due to feeling queasy. I had a coffee this morning, which i never drink but all it did was make me feel yuk. Its doing my head in, am very tired and sleepy and keep feelign dizzy too. Think I need to go to the docs.

roisin · 07/07/2006 19:57

I feel sick every morning too - often retch when brushing my teeth
I feel nauseous when making my packed lunch, and can't even watch the kids having their breakfast.
I posted about it on here a couple of weeks ago.
I'm waiting for the school holidays, as if it stops then that proves it is stress-related. (I work in a secondary school).

I don't actually think that's what it is, but if I go to the GP now, then I'm sure that's what they'll say.
