please help was feeding large black cat (aged 3) this am and felt a soft ish lump about the size of a large pea on the front of his neck/throaat - right in the middle. I've not felt it before and he seems fine in himself. He's a real sweetheart but accident prone and has been to the vet for cellulitis, a sore throat (I know, didn't know they got them) and various other bumps and bites and scratches in the last year or two. He's also recently lost a bit of fur on his tummy and has had a Feliway diffuser in case it's anxiety and compulsive washing....

What could this lump be? Do I need to take him urgently (I'm alone with the baby this weekend) or should I wait to see if it goes/grows?

all advice much appreciated.

You wouldnt need to take him today but better sooner than later. It is treatable. But he may just have a sore throat/ear and his glands may be up
