When you have been away from MN for a few days do you feel a bit shy when you get back?

All the conversations seem to have been going on for ages without you, and it seems rude in a sort of bizarre way, to just waltz back in and pick up where you left off.

I sort of hang around the edges for a while, hoping someone will notice me and say "Oh Franny, you're back"

Hi franny nice to see you back..

and yes but then i feel like that when I'm here too

mazzystar · 03/07/2006 16:45

how was your wedding, (and did you look good in your outfit?)

suejonez · 03/07/2006 16:45

no-one generally notices when I've gone.

In fact, come to think of it no-one notices when I'm here...

FrannyandZooey · 03/07/2006 16:50

Ooh hello pleased to see some people noticed my transparent plea for attention

It was just a family lunch mazzy and I think I looked good, but I was a bit over dressed (story of my life tbh)

I don't expect anyone cares or notices if we are here or gone but I just get a funny hesitancy about posting when I know I have been gone a few days

better overdressed than under. its flattering to your lunch companions that you made such an effort!

FrannyandZooey · 03/07/2006 17:04

LOL that's a lovely way of thinking about it, mazzy

I don't often go anywhere terribly interesting or smart so I like to wear nice clothes just on an ordinary day. You never get a chance to dress up otherwise.

I'm back after not having been here since the 16th June.

Only being brief as I am in a very hot library and may melt soon .

fullmoonfiend · 03/07/2006 17:07

no, not shy, just paranoid - seeing's noone has replied or acknowledged any of my posts since I got back
But I know what you mean FandZ, you get out of the loop very quickly after a short absence!

Rhubarb · 03/07/2006 17:09

No, not really!
