Can you still fall pregnant after taking the morning after pill?

Hi all, I've read lots of threads on here regarding falling pregnant on the morning after pill. I was having mini palpitations in bed, thinking "Oh S**t"

Here's the thing, I'm actually bleeding at the moment, but it start on the 6th day after taking the MAP. And I've also got an 8 week old baby, And breast fed for 4 weeks, so my bleeding was on and off. My point is really...Has anyone that BLED 6 to 7 days after taking the morning after pill still fell pregnant...Or can I take this as a sign that it's my periods starting after having the baby? It may just be coincidental that the side affects of the pill is bleeding on the 6th day.

I'm panicking a little after reading that people have had multiple pregnancies after taking the MAP so just wanted to ask if anyone had bled and still fallen. Thank You kind ladies xxx

The important question is how long after unprotected sex did you take the MAP?

Yes you can, and the chance increases the longer that it was between the sex and the MAP.

I'm sorry I don't know about bleeding. It sounds to me like there are too many factors here to tell.

It's rare to become pregnant after taking the MAP but of course it can happen. The MAP just reduces your chances of pregnancy.

I took it within the first 24 hours...But I think I was ovulating a few days before. The reason I think that is I had (sorry about the gory details) Lots of mucassy discharge days before which looked identical to the plug that you lose before Labour kicks in. So I googled (yes I know the devil at your fingertips) whether or not you could have the mucas plug come out after giving birth and it said it's normally a sign of your first ovulation and so that would have been around the 5 day zone that I had sex! And I've read that it's less effective if you were ovulating at the time! (It was the first time I'd had a good old drink in nearly 2 years...and sensible me jumps out the bloody window!)

I've got a 3.5 year old, 17 month old and 8 week old...So after reading people still fall pregnant after taking it...It's kind of panicked me ! x
