I have a whole mid week day to myself in London. I am going to be in Richmond in the morning and don't particularly want to venture too far so any recommendations where I can go to see, eat, do...

It's probably going to be raining but hey ho!

Lots of places to eat in Richmond town centre (including a new whole foods which is apparently v exciting - will check it out this weekend), shopping also ok in the town centre. If the weather is good you could head to Kew Gardens or Richmond park, have a walk along the river, get the tube upto South Kensington to see the museums, head out to Hampton Court (about 20/30 mins from Richmond). What sort of things do you like doing?

Thank you! I like just wandering around, so the park will be a good place for me to go. Are there any little shops that are unique to Richmond and the surrounding areas? Someone recommended a kitchen shop in Barnes
