I know there was another thread about this but both searches seem to be refusing everything by me at the moment. Before ds I lived in Hedge End but wouldn't really want to move back there. If dh ends up working in Southampton (near Oxford Street), we're going to want to rent somewhere either a walk away or an easy rail commute, ideally. I just looked at Hythe information and though it sounds nice in itself I'm not sure. Could anyone give a few names of areas that they would like to live, that might actually have somewhere to rent??

Prices probably not too much of a prob as we would be moving from Oxford

Hi acnebride,I live in Ringwood which is a 30 min drive away but I used to live in Southampton.Highfield ,Inner Avenue and Upper Shirley are nice areas of Southampton .Hythe is pretty dull if I remember correctly.Chandlers Ford is a nice town/suburb that has a train station. It has really good schools .Ocean Village has lots of new apartments right near Oxford Street.
