drunks from pub last night broke glass all over our walkway....(*having a rant)

about 10.30-11pm last night, drunks from the local pub were smashing glass all over the sidewalks and worse, on our walkway (the pub also suffered two small windows broken and the window on the side door broken) - and now i'm left cleaning the broken glass and i'm less than happy about this, not to mention the sidewalk outside the house has glass all over it.

does the pub have to take responsibility for its patrons? or is it once they are out of the pubs property, the drunks should be responsible for themselves?

i dread to think how it will be if england wins the world cup. acting like that is SO not on.

i'm seriously pi**ed off about all this glass!!
is there anything i can do? (i didnt call the police last night, because stupidly enough, i figured someone else did; but i may call the local police this morning and see if a compliant was filed..)

(*to add, and yes, next time (if there is one) this happens, I will be calling the police.)

How horrible for you - what a shame that a few idiots ruin things for so many!

I would phone the police, if only to log the incident if you need to make an insurance claim.

Also, when the pub's licence comes up for review, if this sort of thing occurs regularly, you might have something to say!

we rent, so i dont know if we have grounds to make a claim (as no real damage was done, per say, only glass!) and i doubt our landlord would really care about this (as he's a bit of an idiot really.)

whats worse is, i used to have some respect for the pub owners before this, but its apparent they dont have a cutoff limit for serving someone who is already smashed that's just not cool really...

wow! i'd go round to the pub and have a word with the manager too. surely they have some responsibility? sorry - don't know the legalities or your rights...

if it wasnt raining so hard, i would have a word with them. well, maybe tomorrow we will.
