2shoes · 24/06/2006 23:20

call them. then it's up to them

Ledodgyherring · 24/06/2006 23:21

ime the police won't do anything.

Ponka · 24/06/2006 23:21

If they are bothering you (i.e. can't get to sleep) or doing something dodgy, call.

If not. no, in my opinion

cheesecakelover · 24/06/2006 23:23

I would definitely call the police based on their past behaviour, they may just move them on. If not it may gradually make its way down to your house and cause you problems. We have similar problems to this most weekends as we live opposite shops where they like to hang around. At times they can get really quite rowdy which can wake my ds up.

sowoffended · 24/06/2006 23:25

Report it, the disturbance at least needs logging.

But, depending on whereabouts you live, don't be surprised if you get the same response as before.

Cr*p I know, but that's the reality.

koalabear · 24/06/2006 23:27

yes

jampots · 24/06/2006 23:28

yes

JanH · 24/06/2006 23:29

I think I would, YG (although might wait until the witching hour so that I could say "it's past midnight and they're still there!")

So are they coming?

ScummyMummy · 24/06/2006 23:33

Probably wouldn't because noise doesn't bother me that much, especially not till later on at night. But if they were doing something dangerous i would. Or if it got a bit later and they didn't shut up.

MIL has a regular problem outside her house, if it is the older ones and they are just sitting quietly, she used to sit and fret when they were falling about and shouting.

Now she will phone the police, especially if it is younger ones. Our local youths are a bit better they tend to lght fires but well away from anything beside the river.

Skribble · 24/06/2006 23:45

Meant to say she didn't mind too much if it was the older ones.

Skribble · 24/06/2006 23:47

Sorry should have said it all in one post.

Keep calling the police they will get fed up and do something about it even if it is just moving them on. Plus the youths will get fed up too and go elsewhere or be quieter.

VVVQV · 24/06/2006 23:48

YEs, call.

Ponka · 25/06/2006 21:48

Did the police end up doing anything for you?
