Homemade and mild, yes. Maybe well-cooked lentils too. And only if he/she wants to eat, obviously.

biglips · 24/06/2006 17:17

well its not homemade as its from tin as last minute thing

Possibly if it's watered down - although I probably wouldn't. I am a bit of a homemade soup freak though
Be guided by how your child feels. They tend to know what they need, especially when they're not well.

if it's not homemade it might be too salty for a 20 month old - especially at a time when they need rehydrating.
Agree that maybe you could water it down.

colditz · 24/06/2006 17:28

I would give it, and as the child has diarrhoea, he might need a little more salt than usual. Don't those rehydration fluids usually contain salt?

cupcakes · 24/06/2006 21:27

I suppose I was just thinking how thirsty salt makes me!
