Do you and your kids all eat at the dining table together ??
We have a dining table but no room for us all to eat at it, so at the mo just the two dd's sit there and me and dp sit on the sofa and eat off our laps. I have discovered that Argos do a little table and chairs set that you screw to the wall. The table can be folded down and the chairs fold up too so would save alot of space. I don't mind geting rid of the dinning table as it is passed it's best and i would be buying a new one when we move anyway. The only thing is, that the fold up one would be in the kitchen, meaning that the kids would bve eating in there on their own.
Any way, what would you do ???

We always eat together in the kitchen. We have a family heirloom table - made by DH's grandfather and used by various members of his family at different times in the kitchen. Its not that big though and will only seat four so if we have visitors we use the dining room. Might start to use dining room more when children older. Since no 2 not yet born will be a while! We use it for all 3 meals. If DS not there (eg gone to grandparents)will still eat breakfast/lunch in kitchen but will eat dinner in front of TV.

Yes we do, have a table in the kitchen with both sides that fold down when not in use, as not enough space in kitchen for regular table. Exceptionally, as a treat, dd is allowed to eat while watching a film.

There are 5 of us, though DD is in a highchair. We have a 4 chair table in the kitchen and a 6 chair table in the dining room. We eat at the kitchen table during the week and tend to have sunday lunch in the dining room.

My 2 boys, 11 & 10 REALLY mess about if left eating together without adult supervision, no matter how many times we bll*k them for it. We make an effort to all eat together as it is really the only time we get to chat about the day etc with the kids without PS2 or the PC getting in the way. It does help if you have the space to accomodate it, of course.

It sounds like you are very limited by the lack of space Nutty (tell me something new, I know) so I think you'd be hard pushed to find a table etc big enough to seat the 4 of you at once anyway. I think in your situation I'd buy the Argos thingy and make the best of a bad situation, you and DP could always take it in turns to stay in the kitchen and supervise them if they do like to mess around.
