If I buy from Next online, must I agree to taking their catalogue every time it comes out?

Just found what I was looking for on there (sunsuits for ds1 and dd that don't cost the earth), but I would rarely buy from them otherwise. Seems a bit unfair that I have to commit to buying their catalogue from now on.

why not get a nearby mumsnetter to order for u and just pay them when u collect?

Dottydot · 12/06/2006 22:17

Hi - No, when you get the first catalogue there's a number in there that you can ring to ask them to stop sending them! (we've just discovered this after getting the second catalogue!)

Aero · 12/06/2006 22:19

Was thinking that, but thought it was a bit cheeky to ask.

However, now you've mentioned it....... do any of you lovely mners who buy from Next Derectory regularly live near me? I'm in Medway, Kent?

Thanks Dottydot. Still expensive to take the first one though as well as postage. Could buy a more expensive suit from another site and get free delivery for the same price. Really trying to spend less as have two to buy following ds1's roasting yesterday.

You can use a discount code to get free postage

V5022
free P+P

How do I get one of those kid? I would happily pay for the catalogue once if postage was free for my first order.

You often come across discount codes online, you should always post here if you want to get a dicount code as loads of people can get them for you Smile

Aero · 12/06/2006 23:03

Sadly it didn't give me the opportunity to type in a discount code when registering, but I figured that it was worth it for the suits, so have gone ahead. Will be asking here in future though.

it asks for a discount code when you check out your order. Not to worry, I'll try and save you some money next time before you order. You could always try and email them and say you didn't know where to enter the code, they might let you use it anyway.

popmum · 12/06/2006 23:15

also you can just go to the shpo and order in store items in cat or on website and pay without having to open an account with them (if you are near a shop of course!)

Feistybird · 12/06/2006 23:16

no you don't. I ordered recently - didn't buy the catalogue.

jenkel · 13/06/2006 00:10

I have ordered a few times and have never had the catalogue, but I pay for my goods straight away, dont have a next account, so think that must be the reason why.

Aero · 13/06/2006 13:01

'Tis all fine - just called them and it was no problem to cancel the directory, so only need to pay for the clothes and delivery.
