This woman in ASDA yesterday...

Yesterday in Asda I was sympathising with a mum whose 2 year old kept running away (it's normally my dd)- depsite several warnings she kept doing it so she was put in the trolley. Obvioulsy she wasn't happy at this and started screaming (not really loudly but loud enough)and the mum was a bit stressed as she had a baby and an older child with her too. I walked away and another woman bumped into me then apologised, saying 'I'm sorry, I can't concentrate for the screaming. (at this point I thought she was joking and laughed) then continued 'they're being really cruel, it's not fair and they should take her outside' Shock I was pretty shocked at this but maybe I'm just a bit sensitive because my dd runs away too and then strops in the trolley!
(BTW, said child stopped screaming VERY soon afterwards)

Wish I could have thought of something to reply to her with...

With 3 kids is she meant to leave the shop every time one of them makes a noise? Sorry, this has turned into a bit of a rant Blush

I once had a woman tell my 18month old dd to 'SHHHHHHHHHHH' and 'Be quiet' in a nasty tone in M&S. She did it a good few times. DD was crying, but not really screaming. She wasn't very well actually. I made a point of following the woman round just to annoy her. What do they want complete silence whilst the concentrate on the extremely ardous task of shopping??

LOl at niceglasses following her around! Grin

I got the feeling that she did have children, not very young ones due to her age but certainly teenagers (just a guess from her trolley etc so completely inaccurate)

Don't get me wrong, I haven't been stewing overnight or anything. I am just glad that the 2yo's mum didn't hear her
