Car Insurance, I save myself £130 this morning

I received a renewal quote so decided to check online with confused.com
They were able to offer me a quote for £130 less, with the insurer I am already with!

I phoned them up and they have matched the online quote but I am still going to enquire with a few more quotes from confused.com to see if there is a better deal.

So its worth while doing a search rather than just take their word that its the cheapest quote.

Mine are always more expensive with confused but then i drive a big car so i have to pay lots of insurance last yr it was 1300.00

we got the AA to do ours last time (where they check all the companies for you) and they cut our insurance in half (from high £800s to mid £400s) with the same terms and conditions

insurers all give different rates and discounts to different brokers. Sometimes they even let the broker set the rate based on your driving history and where you live. They just don't explain that to you so it's really annoying!

I ended up telling them that I am going to get a few more quotes and they asked me to phone them back even if I get a better deal. I assume I will find a cheaper quote which they will match, just makes you wonder why they don't offer you their best price to begin with. I hate renewing car insurance.

i used confused.com and saved over £300 for me and DH... we are going with Esure... i found a cheaper quote over the internet with the insurers we were already with and they refused to honour it, saying i had not asked for a quote to pay over 10 installments.... and it would have been more expensive than the renewal quote they had already sent me.

it pays to shop around, that is for sure!!

i'm trying to get an online quote with more than but i think they are having technical problems argh.
