The inside of my washing machine smells!!

I remember reading a thread about this a while ago and there were a number of suggestions on how to cure this particular problem. I remember thinking at the time how odd, a smelly washing machine and now guess what!! . The inside of the machine smells like washing that has been left in soak too long.

Any ideas on a cure please?

Lemon Juice - lots of it according to my last washing machine engineer. hth

you can buy a washing machine liquid for get rid of the smell - dont know where you can buy as my SIL bought it for me

Soda crystals. Good old traditional methods...

what do you do with them?

Mine smells too - thought it was just my scummy family

My old one smelled when I used liquid detergent too. I use tablets now and so far so good.

Once a month I stick the washing machine on a 90 degree wash completely empty - seems to keep the smells at bay.
