Cold calling - bloody angry!!!!!!!!

I have just completely lost it with a company which have been cold-calling me every other day for the last two weeks.

Even though we are signed up with the telephone preference service this bloody company which I think is called 'Phone Centre' have been ringing despite me requesting 4 times for them to take my name off the list.

Asked to speak to the manager today - some jumped up little prick who would not listen to any of my questions, refused to tell me where his company was based, and refused to give me a contact no so I could pass on info to BT. I ended up screaming down the bloody phone at him that I didn't want to listen to any of his spiel, and would he kindly stop talking so I could a word in edgeways.

Apparently his company doesn't have a headquarters (WTF?), they are based in Middlesex and they only have a call centre no for people who need assistance with the mobile phones they have bought from them.

So why the F they are ringing me, I have no idea!!!

Am totally fucked off with the whole thing - how can I stop these bloody people ringing.

It wasn't even a withheld number - it came up as 01225 which I'm sure is the code for Bristol or Bath or something!!!

Am so pissed off!!!

Put some really crappy song full blast on the cd player and put the receiver down next to it. They'll soon get the message.

Mercy - actually seriously might give DS (2.6) the phone next time.

Especially as all he says on the phone at the moment is:-

3. penguins

A few years ago I got a lot of calls from the same company, despite having registered with the tps. On about the 5th call I put the receiver down next to a radio, badly tuned to Radio 3 playing Wagner's Ring. They never called back .

You can report to TPS online giving whatever info you have such as the caller's number, partial or full name , address, time of call

I can't stand it when companies keep rining you when you have told them not to and even when you say no very politely they just keep talking at you, I can't stand it when they keep saying "excuse me mam" "yes but mam" etc etc really bloody pisses me off.

Just for the record please do NOT blow a wistle down the phone at anyone as it can actually deafen someone, when I worked at BT many many years ago a kid blew a whistle down the phone at me for no reason I couldn't hear for a few days and I now have continual rining (tinitus)in my ear. Although it is very quiet it is bloody annoying and all because a stupid prat blew a whistle down the phone.

my daughters fight to answer the phone any cod callers generally hang up when they get a child of mine ask are you important?

I have been having this today and when you do 1471 it comes up with the same number . So its not just you .

I've had this problem, BT can do them for harassment and can trace your calls if you ask them to. That should stop them! You can also "choose to refuse" witheld no's etc. but you have to pay for that. I keep getting international calls, no number, for someone who doesn't even live here. Must have had this no previous to us. I am waiting for the next one, then I will find out who they are and report them this time. I tell them continually, no one of that name lives here, take no. off database, but mostly they are "foreign" and all of them don't listen. Not sure if TPS will do anything, think you have to report them OFT (or equiv if abroad).

Just scream Fuck Off really lodly down the phone is very cathartic - well unless you get a marketing person mixed up with DPs boss whent hey testing the procedures for calling people in an emergency relocation situation!!!!
