Nissan Note estate or Skoda Fabia estate??

So I'm going to be getting a car via my work's car salary sacrifice scheme and the two I can afford that are the right size (big enough for 2 growing boys plus room for a ton of camping crap equipment) are the Nissan Note diesel estate or the Skoda Fabia diesel estate.

Does anyone have any experience of either/both as I haven't driven either and need to get one of them ordered asap as our old car has died...

I've had a skoda Fabia before though not an estate. Haven't had a Note, but used to have a Nissan micra and both Nissan and skoda are decent makes. I test drove a Note when I got my last car and liked it but got a better deal on a Ford Fusion which I also liked.

I think you need to test drive both and see which one you like best, sometimes just driving position/seat comfort is what makes a difference, or just better/handier cubby holes/storage in the car might make a difference.

Thanks. I did have a look at a friend's Nissan Note and really liked the dashboard and look and feel of the car, but the boot space seemed really small- smaller than the boot of my current car - Peugeot 306, which I've had for years and love, but sadly the garage can no longer revive it...

Will try and get to see a Skoda Fabia estate tomorrow before going ahead.

I bought a fabia estate when ds was twelve weeks old. He's six and a half now. its a great car very practical loads of boot space.

thanks - what's the legroom like in the back of the Skoda? Apparently the Nissan Note is great for legroom and our boys do seem to be growing like weeds at the moment...

I think I want the Skoda though - for no good reason other than I've perversely always wanted one and it's £20 a month less on the payments
