I started a thread a while back about going on holiday to Cyprus in Feb half term. Well, we decided to book and are flying out in just over 3 weeks time. I'm at a loss as to know what to pack. Some people have said it will be hot and some have said very chilly. We've got a 7 mth old so obviously need to pack only what we need. Can anyone advise?? Also any good places to visit in Paphos? Help

Sorry you will need to pack both, short sleeves during the day but jumpers in the evening, (If my memory is correct). You may get some rain but it will be heavy for a short time (1-2 hours) but you will not get all day drizzle.

I don't know how built up it's become as I haven't been back for 16 years but Aphrodite's pool is very pretty & close to paphos.

The Troodos mountains are also worth a visit and 1-2 hours drive. I cannot remember how to spell the place but it's pronounced Kakopetria is a very nice village in the mountains. Or you could go skiing for the day (either snow or water). I would recommend hiring a car, if only for a couple of days just to drive and see the scenery away from the tourist areas.

Try out some of the local taverna's, the food will be better in the smaller villages as well. I hope you are not vegetarian as that really limits your choice, my sister does eat fish otherwise she would have been limited to fried egg and chips.

Stick to the local booze where possible as it is so much cheaper, Brandy & cokes used to half and half as the brandy was cheaper than the coke for example. Keo lager is very light and very refreshing, please have a bottle for me

I hope you will have a fantastic time

If you post again a couple of days before you go I will ring SIL and get you a definite answer. General view from DH though is Cyprus February = British April, so could be pleasant (not lying on beach though!) during the day, but chilly at night. I don't know anything in Paphos I'm afraid everyone I know is in Limassol/Nicosia!

Have a lovely time, it is a beautiful country.
