We've a rathe rlarge sand pit which needs filling up. So far I have seen it in Tesco for £1.99 (10kg) and Argos for £2.49 (15kg) Has anyone found it anywhere cheaper?

the cheapest i have noticed is tesco!

why play sand? I would go to a builder's merchant and get fine grade sand from there- MUCH cheaper!

be careful with fine grain sand, it does contain glass. My friends ds had a bad accident with theirs and A&E told them off big time saying they see a lot of accidents with people not using play sand which will disperse and using builders sand instead that has more in it. Hope that helps.

I've not seen it anywhere else but I think it's about £2 a bag in Tesco

What's the sand on the average British beach like, in comparison to builders/play sand? Just out of interest.

i got some huge bags last year in argos, \link{http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3652620.htm\it's £2.49 for 15kg}

So Tesco's marketing technique has worked in making people think theirs is cheapest... even though they're selling smaller bags. Grin

Per kg Argos is looking best then???? No-where cheaper than Argos?

We got some from B & Q last year - can't find it on their website though.
