Will I be able to fit 3 car seats across the back of a subaru?

Reading the other thread about cars for 3 kids got me thinking. I am now expecting number 3 (hoorah!) and want to know how anyone fits 2 child seats and one baby seat into a subaru estate. Someone I know is in a similar situation and says it can't be done but I can't afford to buy a new car.

I don't know what that car is like. At the moment I've got a mondeo and I have 2 high backed boosters and a big stage 2 car seat. Before that I had 2 big stage 2 car seats (Britax Eclipse) and a baby seat.

They fit but it's not great. The boosters are so squashed up to each other that clicking the seat belt in is a nightmare. Hence our purchase of Grand Voyager - just need the space.

We've deffo got by OK with our Mondeo for the last 18 months with 3 though.

When it was the 2 big stage 2 seats it wasn't so bad as once they were fitted you are only using the restraints within the seat iyswim. It's been more of a pain with the boosters as you are clicking into the main seatbelt.
