Went to pick DD up from nursery today and noticed that she was a little, er, fragrant as she tottered towards me. I asked the nursery nurse if I could do her nappy and we went into the nappy room together. As the nappy was taken off, I noticed that she was really uncomfortable and said that "poor [dd] has a very sore fanny" - was met with "that's not a word we use here!" and icy glares!
ohmigod - I would have felt extremely coy if I had said mimi - our family word for it - and it just sort of came out without thinking. What should I have called it?
Can't believe that I am well into my late 30s and have been made to feel 2 foot high by a 19 year old for my foul language
