I had one like this- I had spent about $500 on a truly ghastly bracelet apparently. I agree, they're more disconcerting because they're not so blatant.

I had an email the other day to tell me that an item I was watching was about to expire, but it was for a self plumbing tap and neither my partner orIhad added it to my ebay watch list! (I subsequently deleated it from my list and have changed my ebay password, but I am still narked by the whole thing). I think someone put it on my watch list to see if I was alert enough to chck my account. I have since had an email from Paypal telling me that something to do with my ebay account (for sellers, and I have never sold through ebay) and Paypal couldn't be changed because my addy and password were incorrect! I have logged in to Paypal and everything seems ok but has made me really nervous about the whole thing. Angry
