DH pissed on bedroom floor - how to get rid of the smell?!

I know, I should have pretended it was one of my kids but no, it was my drunken dh, back after a night out...I went back in the bedroom in the morning and he asked me if i had pissed on the floor, i said no and he said 'oh no, it must have been me then'!!!

how gross is that!!
anyway, it has started smelling of stinky old tramp's trousers. please can anyone tell me how to get rid of the smell?

He has scrubbed it with dettol spray and i have chucked loads of lavender and tea tree oil but the smell keeps coming back.

anything?

White vinegar is good - half and half with water.

bicarb - same as for sick - make a solution with water, rub it in, leave to dry, hoover out.

Have you tried carpet cleaner... they often have perfume smells in them... I bet the dettol stinks as well...

Bicarb of soda. /Damp the area sprikle on and leave to dry then hoover up.

Try making a paste of bicarbonate of soda and water, smearing it thickly on the 'place', and leaving it for a day or so. Then hoover up.

If it's carpet you may have to get it steam-cleaned.

If the smell is lingering in the room then put a little bowl of vinegar in the room (doors and windows shut) for a day or so. It works with vomit - though no idea how.

Close the door and let HIM sort it later. If it was carpet and floro boards beneath are soaked, then you'll need to lift carpet up and scrub floorboards and wash carpet and backing.My ds used to pee on the floor and it was a night mare, we got rid of carpet and used lino....

liberally sprinkled bicarb left for about half an hour then hoovered up worked when our cat suddenly took a shine to our bedroom carpet instead of the litter tray....

My DH had a "swampy" moment after a rugby dinner - unfortunately in bed !! Eeeeeuuurghhh In my sophoriphic state I thought we'd had a leak !I went to the spare room - he cleared it up in the morning ... and 5 months on is still paying the price !

You can get stuff from a pet shop that gets rid of cat / dog pee from carpets - so should work OK with DH pee too! Gte the one for cats as apparently it is stronger.

He asked if you had pissed on the floor? Sorry but ROFL, my dh would have got a smack in the chops for that alone!

You'll just have to make him buy a new carpet and decorate the bedroom for you.

oh ladies - you have made me laugh. dh is pretty useless but this pissing incident has gone a step too far. he was once so battered he tried to piss in a bag full of my knickers. he is a very heavy sleeper (that must be why he never gets up with the boys. hmmm).
anyway, before I start to analyse how shit he is I will go.
trust me, he is really embarrassed by the whole thing and it will be him cleaning it up and not me. f*cking gross though. that never happened in the jackie collins books....
