My black sack has gone from outside of my house?

This happened a few weeks ago and I thought I was going mad.

I put a bin bag out this morning, and just put another one out and the other one is missing!!!. Its not bin day or anything!

How strange.

Why are you putting black sacks outside your house?

tissy · 05/05/2006 13:39

we've just had a bank holiday, perhaps the bin men have been today, catching up on the backlog!

WigWamBam · 05/05/2006 13:40

Maybe there's a collection of charity bags today ... some poor sod is going to wonder what on earth hit him when he opens your bag Grin

LIZS · 05/05/2006 13:41

Our rubbish truck was running a day behind this week due to Bank Holiday. If yours is similar they may come a bit earlier than normal to try to make up the time.

april74 · 05/05/2006 13:42

the bin men came on Tuesdays.

We always put the black sacks out as they stink the house out, the back garden is no good as its small and we have a rabbit who chews at anything he can get his hands on. So we put them in our front garden bit.

Can only think of the charity bag thing.

Unless you've got a wierdie neighbour who collects rubbish.

Or are you a celebrity and they're hoping to find details of what you eat?

april74 · 05/05/2006 13:48

lol def not a celebrity, well if i do have a weird neighbour all he will get is rotten old food.

I always make sure anything with name address and so on are shredded.

Is it at easy reach from the pathway? maybe their is a homeless person stealing them, charity organisations wont collect unless it is in a bag they provided or has their slip attached to it.

april74 · 05/05/2006 14:03

not easy reach, there is a wall there, and quite big so they have come in through the gate and passed the window to collect it.

Perhaps someone doesn't like rubbish bags in the front and is "making a point". DO you have any passive-aggressive neighbours?

Caligula · 05/05/2006 14:05

LOL at the idea of some nutter not liking rubbish bags and making a point.

I wish someone near me didn't like weeds and wanted to make a point

Normsnockers · 05/05/2006 14:12

There was an article in our local paper about bags being taken and rifled through by dodgy types looking for stuff to use in identity frauds. We were advised not to put them out the night before but to wait until the morning that the bin men come round.

Maybe there are some hopeful criminals now applying for credit in your name.

april74 · 05/05/2006 14:13

I am very careful in shredding everything that has any personal information on. If that was the reason why it was pinched then I am afraid they have had a wasted trip.

Funny you should say that caligula. My dad's neighbour did exactly that - weeded his front garden. Never said a word, just pointedly weeded! That's what made me suggest it.

Caligula · 05/05/2006 16:04

Wish he lived next door to me
