Baby Swimming - what age is safe?

We're being treated to a week at centerparcs in July when ds will be 10 weeks old. Is he allowed to go swimming at that age after he has had his first 2 month immunisations? I have heard it's best to wait till 5 months after all the jabs, but then I've seen a leaflet for baby swimming from 2 weeks old.

What do you think? FWIW my biggest concern at the local pools here would be the baby getting to cold, but at centerparcs the pools are a constant warm temperature so he should be fine.

they are allowed to but it has more to do with getting cold quickly - who would take a 2 week old swimming?
judge the temp yourself - they do get shivery v quickly
have fun!

I took my ds at 5wks and he loved it. Get a wetsuit for him aswell as his swim nappy as that will help him keep a little warmer. It depends what you read as to what people class as a 'safe' age.

Forgot to say - most recommend that the minimum temp of the water should be 32degreesC
