can i wash my light weight cooler bag in the washing machine?

as its rotten on the outside and i cannot scrub it off with washing up liquid

What have you got to lose? Have you tried a mildew remover type spray stuff, works on the bottom of our shower curatin so may just work on your bag.

its not mould... its more of tea stains and dirty stains as its was kept under the stairs for a while

The padded sort of cooler bags?

I always stick them in the washer. No problems so far.

I always stick DS's padded packed lunch bags in there as we haven't got a dish washer, and they've always been fine

My theory is this:

nearly everything that is not living and of the right size can go in either the dishwasher or the washing machine! (and not paper products)

Not destroyed too much stuff so far!

I wash ds padded packed lunch bag, because it gets yucky where the stiching is, it comes out fine.
