Our neighbours (plus their children) are so bloody loud that my children can't get to sleep in the evening, so much so that after all their noise last night ds (16 months )didn't stir until after midday and tonight I have put him to sleep in the travel cot in the living room, and dd in my bed to move them as far away from the noise as possible. It is totally ridiculous.

That sounds extreme. Are they playing loud music? Could you call your council's noise patrol?

Worth making it official-type noise CM? (Thudding bass, bellowing, furniture moving at 10pm etc) Or just horrible people and poor-soundproofing?

Oh that sucks. I totally sympathise with you. Arent they HA/Council tenants? Complain to the relevant people - its not on.

You dont have to put up with this!!!!!!!
If you are in council housing you can make a formal complaint in your housing office - and you could apply for you or them to be rehoused

What is so annoying (and I mean no disrespect by this) we aren't in council property. We own (and want to sell) our property and it isn't cheap. They are a family with 5 children (2 severely handicapped) who are assylum seekers and are being housed. It is a 3 bedroom property so is totally unsuitable (imo) for that size family.
