For Anyone that sells 2nd hand books on Amazon

I have just sold 4 x 2nd hand books on Amazon totalling £18 including the post. They have taken over £6 in fees and VAT. But I didn't think you had to pay VAT on books and especially 2nd hand ones. Any ideas?

It's probably VAT on the fees, iyswim. Or on the postage?
