Somewhere lovely to have coffee and cakes in Camden Town?

Can anyone recommend anywhere lovely for coffee and cakes reasonably near Camden Town tube station?

There are so many grotty looking places around there - I'm arranging a meeting and want to find somewhere nice ...

TIA for any top tips!

there's a Starbucks on Parkway (just opposite the tube), otherwise I can only think of all the coffee shops in Primrose hill which isn't too far away.

There might be some coffee shops on the way up to Chalk Farm station too, i will speak to dh and see if he can remember anywhere (I was there last Friday and can't remember seeing any coffee shops).

delancey's in delancy street. very nice, french and posh...good food last time i went 9a good few yrs ago)
maybe a bit more coffee and puddingey iyswim.

ohh bean and cup used to have sofas in the back and the guys running it were pretty nice too, so that gets my vote.

we used to go there for journal club on tuesday am at 8am and get all clever over coffee...
and then dh and i used to go there at weekends due to the sofas.. can't think why i'd forgotten it tbh

hi oops! sorry you didn't make it to yumyums.

i used to sneak my m&s salad into the back of bean & cup & have one of their huge mochas & try & make my lunch hour last as long as possible.

Went for a meeting at Delancey's in Feb and has closed down

Went to Camden Kitchen. On site of Ruby in the Dust. Was OK but not coffee and cakeish.
