Hi

I currently use allofmp3.com to download music and it's great, just wondering if anyone can reccommend a similar site where the songs are free?

I'm not sure if it is possible to legally download free music - I think not. Usually you have to pay per track, otherwise the artist can't get royalties. However, there are many sites like 360 share which are P2P and illegal (if you use them to download copyrighted material) where you can download music at your own risk.

I tried to figure this all out recently - it does seem complicated.

limewire is quite good.

Apparently you can download it for free legally but you must not then share it with other parties, so you have to change the settings.

Really? So I haven't figured it out right then? Grin

I think you'll find limewire is P2P and therefore illegal.

Yes I really think if you can do it "free" it isn't legal.

dh has researched this lots and the best legal one he can find is allofmp3 which you are already using

Thanks for the replies Smile

allofmp3 is very good, and really cheap. Can't use it at the moment though cos I can't top-up my account because since I last added money, you now have to verify your visa card, which I seem to be having a have a problem with (have been given 3 different activation codes by my bank, but still not working). Doesn't look like you can top-up your accountany other way.
