If you can get to Redchurch St, Brick Lane area, Bethnal Green, then you really have to go. i know I'm biased but I wouldn't say go if it wasn't fab. The drinks are amazing. My cousin had a beargertita which is a beer with a margerita in it and was blown away. The drinks menu is out of this world, even the soft drinks. The hot chocolate is like nothing I've ever had before. And the food - wow, totally authentic Mexican, not chilli con carne and fajhitas here. It really, really is fantastic and very beautiful looking. Room to hire a private area downstairs too.

oooh, that's really close to us, & i'd read a couple of good reviews. will try & find someone to babysit so dp & i can go for my birthday next week! well done to your brother :o.

Well, my entire midwifery cohort is heading up to Brick Lane in a couple of weeks - we were going to go for a curry but I'll work on it If not for a whole meal, I'm sure we can manage a margharita or six...

Hi Snafu - The food at the bar is so, so, so good. Oh and the deserts. Oh MY GOD. Mexican long doughnut things that you dip in chocolate.

Oooh, do you know if they have Negro Modela? It's a Mexican beer, I saw it somewhere in Paris, so it definately gets exported.

Might well give this place a try, anyway. I'm guessing it's not kid-friendly though?

Hi NotQuiteCockney - they import all things, food, drink from Mexico, so if it's a authentic beer then I would guess yes.

Kid friendly - well during the day I would say it would be ok. I'd take mine. It's really airy and big with sofa seating area but not sure about the smoking tbh. I can check that out once he's back from the states.
