I stupidly walked a fair distance in flipflops that had a matting style base that's given me a mahoosive blister on the ball of my foot. So consequently I can't walk!!

Whats the best thing to do with it? Leave it or is there something special I need to do? I need to be able to walk tomorrow!!!

i did this with pair of vertiginous wedges (sp?) purple wedges. it was hell. i walked on the edges of my feet for a couple of days to ease the pressure.

lance it with a sterlised needle. Recommended by my friend who's a nurse That way you don't burst the skin of the blister, but drain the fluid and remove the pain.

I would lance it too

Get some Compeed blister plasters. They are quite expensive, but excellent. unlike a normal plaster they actually promote healing and the blister heals under the plaster.
I have used them for running and they are great.
