We are having a bit of a fundraiser at ds's nursery. Having a little cafe, selling toys and clothes, raffle, cake-weight game... Can anyone think of a simple game for the little ones to have a go at?

Penny in a bucket... you put a penny in the middle of the bottom a bucket full of water, you have to drop 10p (or what ever coin you decide) to cover the penny. remove some of the 10p coins every now and then to leave the penny clear to see.

Guess the number of sweets in a jar, get the local newsagent to donate a jar of sweets.

Name the teddy/ doll or even name the wooden farm, saw that one recently.

Roll a penny...Need to find something to roll pennies down to win amount marked in square penny lands on.

Park a car...Similar to roll a penny, need a long board to set up on a slight slope. Mark out parking spaces at one end. Prizes for cars parke with in spaces not over any lines.

Treasure map...Get someone artistic to draw a huge map of an island. Mark off with squares. Children stick on stickers with name on to pick a square and winners who pick the correct location of the treasure square win prize at end of the day.

Lucky straw....Make holes in box insert loads of staws, color the ends of a few to mark luck ones. You can even use the box the straws come in just cover the box in coloured paper. remove a few to ensure little fingers can pull out straws. Put back unlucky straws or box gets too empty.

Lucky dip.

Rat down the drain can be done with potatoes for a really messy but satisfying version.
