i can't find it on the news sites or i'd do a link, but a 10 month old baby girl has died at 'just learning' nursery in camborne. they believe she was choking on a piece of apple. it is the second time they have been investigated, 18 months ago a 15 month old broke her arm. the nursery is to be closed for 6 weeks. Sad for her family, just can't believe it.

think there was a thread yest about this. its terrible isn't it.

the company i used to work for provided copiers and stuff to all the just learning nurseries.

in the news link they mentioned michael fallon who is a director or something. i think hes mp for sevenoaks. we used to deal with his wife

there seems to be so many bad things happening at nurseries lately though.

do you think it has always been like this or they are just all coming out now

merrymum · 21/04/2006 11:17

i just can't imagine what her family are going through, you leave your child where you think they are safe, go to work then this happens. i can't bear to imagine what it would be like to wake up in the morning and not have her there. a friend of mines daughter used to go to a nursery where staff were told her dd had a fear of vegetables, only for them to serve her up vegetable soup and smear it across her face to get her to eat it. Angry not as bad i know but still, we put our trust in these people.
