Dp gone outside to light bonfire - dare I look out the window!?

Dp's just gone outside to tackle the huge (i'm not joking) pile of wood we've had building up since the autumn.

I heard him mutter something about petrol as he left...

Dare I peek out of the window or just leave him to it? Wink

If you didnt hear an explosion or a scream I would leav him too it.

If he's serious about the petrol go out and tell him not to be so bloody stupid.

Did cross my mind to go after him, but reasoned that the bottom of the garden is a long way away from the house :o

Just hope he doesn't hurt himself then.

My dh was hurt in an accidental fire involving petrol. 13 years later he still has the massive scars to prove it.

Blimey - what happened?

Maybe I should go and check on him then Blush

He didn't realise some petrol had splashed on him (working in a garage) and stopped for a cig break.

Skin grafts are very painful - as is sitting waiting to see if your dh is going to survive the operation.

Sorry, bit heavy I know but I do shudder when I see people making jokes about petrol and fires.

Well he's back in now safe and sound. The woods all gone so the next one probably won't be until bonfire night so I can rest easy!

SaintGeorge - thats scary, poor you and poor dh. Hope he's ok now

Long time ago, time heals.

Doesn't stop us having bonfires, we have loads - but we use firelighters Smile
